1. How many doors do you have in your house?
well I live in an apartment with three other girls, so let’s see…1 (front door), 2 (sliding window/door), 3 (door to pantry/closet), 4 (door to back rooms), 5, 6 (bathroom doors), 7, 8, 9, 10 (doors to each girl’s room), 11 (door to furnace). So, ELEVEN!
2. What was the last book you read?
For fun? The Fault In Our Stars, and a little of Thomas Keller’s The French Laundry Cookbook. Because I have to? Kuby Immunology, Sixth Edition.
3. What kind of tea do you prefer, if any?
Herbal or rooibos, always. Today my favorite is Tulsi Dosha Chai with a little creamer and a cube of sugar. Other favorites are Peach Tranquility and Rooibos Tropica.
4. Do you keep your closet door open or closed? Do you care?
My closet don’t have no door! Ha! But I keep my bedroom door closed.
5. Celebrity crushes and why.
Robert Downey Jr. – because he’s so talented, snarky, quick, funny, has awesome facial hair, plays some of my very favorites (Iron Man, Sherlock) and he gave up drink and drugs after a crazy, harmful life.
Nathan Fillion – he’s downright funny, he’s Cap’n Mal Reynolds and Castle and Captain Hammer, and gosh he’s handsome
Hugh Jackman – amazingly talented, no one knew he had an amazing voice until Les Mis, he had been on broadway before, he’s Wolverine.
Benedict Cumberbatch – Tumblr already know’s he’s a god of acting and strangely good looks. Sherlock, Smaug/Necromancer, he’s in Amazing Grace, villain in next Star Trek movie
David Tennant – Tenth Doctor, actually Scottish (I just have a thing for Scottish accents, Kent will tell you)
Martin Freeman – just awesome. Hobbit, Watson, Arthur Dent, just awesome.
Gary Oldman – he can be anyone in any movie and make it sublimely wonderful
Emma Thompson – my heroine. Wrote the screenplay for Sense & Sensibility and acted as one of the main characters flawlessly, was in Stranger than Fiction, an amazing lady
Helena Bonham-Carter – plays crazy b’s all the time (HP, Sweeney, etc. etc.) but makes a wonderfully loving, balanced and adorable wife and queen in The King’s Speech
Emma Watson – one of the most admirable actresses of our time, in both ability and morality
6. Do you still have any stuffed animals?
Yes, and none of them are from when I was little. My mom says that one night she came in to tuck me in, and I had a bunch of books under the covers. “Honey, what are all these books doing in here?” to which I responded: “I’m going to bed with my friends!”

My current stuffed animals are: Tarbo, a cougar I got when I came to BYU, named after Brigham Young’s native American nickname, Puppy-Moo a small round soft fluffy cow, a red angry bird, and a noisy Toothless thing
7. Who is your biggest inspiration? It can be anyone, real or fictional.
8. Do you believe in socks?
To be honest, no. I use them when I have to for warmth or shoe comfort, but I’d rather run around barefoot.
9. Any pets? Names, ages, stories?
Amadeus, “Ami”, Borsoi, my big brother until he died of cancer when I was five. I remember trying to teach him how to howl.
Pumpkin and Jingle, dumb fair goldfish, died when the house got too hot on vacation
Verdi, green garter snake, tried to eat her reflection in her water bowl, escaped one day via the turned-off airconditioner
Monty, beta fish, got him from one of my friends who moved away to Montana, jumped out of his bowl during cleaning
Phantom II, “Rhino”, feral tortoiseshell Hemingway cat, the best cat in the world, our dad tamed her and she lived with us for many years until she also had to be put down because of cancer <3
10. Do you have any allergies?
Sulfa and penicillin drugs. Severely. My eardrum exploded once because the eardrops had sulfa in them. Used to be allergic to milk and soy, but I’m good now.
11. What, in your opinion, was the worst grade for you in middle school?
As in letter grade, A-. I remember crying in 6^th grade because I got that. What a silly perfectionist I was.
As in grade level, probably 8^th. I was so done with middle school, and so excited to move.

Cole’s renowned four–part series traces the journey of an archetypal hero along the “River of Life.” Confidently assuming control of his destiny and oblivious to the dangers that await him, the voyager boldly strives to reach an aerial castle, emblematic of the daydreams of “Youth” and its aspirations for glory and fame. As the traveler approaches his goal, the ever–more–turbulent stream deviates from its course and relentlessly carries him toward the next picture in the series, where nature’s fury, evil demons, and self–doubt will threaten his very existence. Only prayer, Cole suggests, can save the voyager from a dark and tragic fate.

how's the dance program like at BYU? I really want to apply, but I'm scared I won't get accepted because I'm a late starter and I'm afraid I don't have sufficient technique + experience to get in. Although I've done some ballet and contemporary, I'm really interested in the ballroom program they have there, though I've never actually trained in ballroom. Could I still apply as a ballroom minor regardless?

The Ballroom Dance Company at BYU is, as I’m told, the best in the world. For the past 30 years, the touring team has gone to Blackpool, England to compete against the best teams from around the world, and they always finish first.
You should totally apply! You can major in Dance in general, which requires a lot of different types of training, or you can minor in ballroom, which is what I’m doing. I’m majoring in Microbiology. Ha!
As I told an anon, I did ballet in high school, and then took a beginning social ballroom dance class my freshman year. Now I’m on the intermediate team after three years with the company. Ballet and contemporary will definitely help (esp with Smooth).
The Ballroom Minor requires you to take several social classes, technique classes (latin and standard), a teaching class, and at least two semesters on a team. No previous dance history required. I did it, so can you!

(Ask me again, and I will tell you JUST how awesome I think ballroom is)

I plan on doing this for the year of 2013 :)
